Polish Lowland Sheepdog

Digby is the ultimate cute fluffy dog.

His character and personality shine through in any media and his colourings and marking make him an ideal film or photographic model. At 17" high, he is a manageable size on set and makes all products and people look in proportion! He is a genuine all rounder.

He has competed in both agility and obedience and has been to Crufts twice. Once as a show dog and once as an ambassador for his breed on the Polish Lowland Sheepdog 'Discover Dogs' stand. He also plans to be at Discover Dogs this year at Earls Court, but this time wagging his tail on the Anti-Docking Alliance stand!

He has been a student at CFA since 7 months old and has got his Bronze, Silver and Gold Clicker Awards and has graduated from the Professionals Class. He reliably endorses products with nose or paw, holds items in his mouth, has a rock solid sit/down/stand stay, waves, speaks on cue, plus much more.

Digby is totally confident on set, be it a photographic studio, outdoor location, or television studio.

Experience to date includes:

Digby has just finished filming a six part TV series for Carlton TV called 'Whats Up Dog!' starring Katie Boyle and Joe Inglis (with appearances by his 'mum' Carolyn) which went out in the Midlands region in summer 2001. This involved outdoor and location shoots, and he rapidly got the well-deserved reputation of a 'one-take dog'. 'What's Up Dog' was very well received - and even out-rated Songs Of Praise (we are told that is good!). There are plans for a national second series, and in the meantime the first show will be shown in other regions before the end of the year.

Digby was one of the first dogs to travel on the Pet Travel Scheme. His 1st day trip to France was covered by the Mail, Sunday Mail, and Evening Standard - all of whom he did shoots for. During his brief visit to France he did an outdoor shoot for The Independent, and a French production company used him as the star of a documentary about dogs.

Following his European wanderings, in June 2000 he appeared on 'Wish You Were Here' travel programme which involved a second trip to France. At least this time he was able to sample French cuisine in a cafe!

As by now he was the acknowledged expert in canine international jetsetting, Digby appeared on ITV's 'We Can Work It Out' also promoting the Pet Travel Scheme, showing him to be reliable in a television studio.

He has also appeared in 'I Wish I'd Thought of That', a Channel 4 production, and breakfast TV with Richard and Judy.

He has appeared on the front cover of Dogs Today twice, and has made over 60 other appearances either endorsing products or illustrating features.

He has appeared in a video for the Company of Animals - a promotional video advertising a range of dog products. This was launched at Crufts and now has international distribution.

Digby is a happy confident dog with a lot of experience who always shows himself to best advantage and always enjoys his work. He has many plans for the future - which he hopes will involve stardom and lots of food!
