Tarbay Centre Hydrotherapy Pool |
|
|
|
A new doggie swimming pool has
just opened in Windsor, Berkshire at the Tarbay Centre.
Swimming promotes a healthy, happy dog and aids in the rehabilitation of an injured, lame or post-operative pet. The pool is heated to thirty five degrees and is situated in a purpose built log chalet - very similar in design to the 'human saunas' that we love so much. |
| Injured or lame dogs can be lowered
into the water by a specially designed hoist; whilst fit and healthy dogs
can run straight down the ramp and swim freely in the pool.
At the far end of the pool, water jets impede your dog's progress, making it harder work to get to you and your toy at the other end. These jets can be adjusted from a very gentle current to a raging torrent! |

David
the Jack Russell, prefers the jets turned up full blast! He only attends
the pool to have fun, whilst Chess,
the Border Collie, is on a weightloss programme which was severely impeded
by the onset of arthritis in both front feet.
After just an hours run in the park she'll come home so lame in both front feet that she can hardly walk; half an hour of swimming against the jets in the pool gives her even more exercise and she's 'sound as a bell' after the session |
| Not that this should be remotely
important - but boy, is it good to take home clean dogs after exercise!
Haven't we all seen enough mud to last us a lifetime?
If your dog is "The-Swamp-Creature-From-Hell" he will have to be bathed before getting into the pool (there is a limit to how much the filters can take!), however, this can be easily arranged by prior appointment as The Tarbay Centre also has a grooming centre on site! |
